Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 Driver to join our specialist logistics team based in Slough SL14RY
Responsibilities
- You will be contracted to work 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, occasional weekends and the start time window of 05:00 and 06:00. You will be transporting hazardous goods, such as Lithium-ion batteries and solar panels across the UK. ADR training will be provided!
- Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites
- Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards
- Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times
- Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required)
- Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts
What you’ll need to succeed
- A full UK driving licence with class 2 entitlement
- A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels) desirable
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
