Job Description

At GXO, we’re expanding and looking for dedicated drivers to join our energetic team at Dartford, Kent working on our Ikea contract. As a Class 2 Driver you will be delivering furniture for IKEA alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better every day!  

 

This is a full time, permanent role you will be working 48 hours per week on a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off over a 8-week rota  with  start times between 5:00-5:30 .

What you will do on a typical day: 

  • Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes and providing a first-class customer service experience 
  • Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly secured.
  • Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies 
  • Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects. 

 

What you need to succeed at GXO: 

  • This is a physically demanding role which includes lifting and shifting of furniture.
  • Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement. 
  • No more than 6 current penalty points 
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years 
  • Previous experience driving category C vehicles is desirable. 
  • DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate.
