Are you an experienced Class 2 HIAB driver looking for a change? Would you like to work for a market leading company with fantastic benefits? If so, we have a great opportunity for you! Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 HIAB driver to join our home delivery team in Bridgend for our customer, Wickes.
You will be responsible for delivering large products to customer premises. You will be contracted to work 45 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, starting at 07:00. You will be required to work Saturdays during a 10-week peak period. Successful candidates will be required to pass a DBS search.
- Pay: £15.15 per hour before bonus
- £30,723 per annum plus achievable legal compliance bonus of £1,920
- 39 hours average per week (annualised contract of 2028 hours per year)
- Standard working pattern: 5 days - Monday to Friday
- Sixth shift overtime available during peak season (Saturday)
- Starting at 07:00 in the morning
- ALLMI training will be provided for suitable candidates with no HIAB licence
- Inexperienced drivers will be considered
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Responsible for the accurate, timely movement of multi drop and delivery of our customers' products
- Providing excellent face to face customer service to customers
- As required, delivery of bulk items to customer homes using a class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores
- Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements
- Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others
- A flexible approach to working start times as dictated by the needs of the business
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A full UK driving licence with category Class 2 entitlement
- HIAB licence (ALLMI or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential
- A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
- Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- Successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
