We're looking for a Transport Planner to join our team in Snetterton. Working within a small team, you will be driving efficiency and reducing cost delivering excellent service to our customer. You'll be responsible for route planning, along with developing & managing real relationships with customers and drivers. You'll ensure that our transport department always runs in an efficient and effective manner.
You'll work on a Monday – Friday basis, between the hours of 8am to 5pm , however, some flexibility is required.

What you'll do on a typical day:
Provide final route plans to the warehouse operation within the agreed timescale to allow for picking in a timely manner
Ensure that the legislation regarding EU Drivers hours regulations is being followed
Deal with customer issues and monitor drivers daily progress, updating the customer as required
Ensure that the sub-contractor costs are in line with our agreed rates ensuring that the maximum benefit is being secured and that any subcontractor financial queries are resolved in a timely manner
What you need to succeed at GXO
Experience of working as a Transport Planner or similar operational role, performing route planning with strong geographical knowledge of the UK
Knowledge of WTD regulations is essential
Proficient use of Microsoft and experience of using a transport planning tool
Strong communicator both written and verbal with attention to detail
