Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Development Manager to join our team in Bradford, supporting our customer, M&S. As an Operations Development Manager you will lead the CI, MI, Systems and Planning teams, working closely with the site operational teams to implement new initiative ands delivering projects in full and on time, while having the ability to clearly relay the impact, both benefits and risks to both the site teams and the customer.
Thid is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00 with some flexibility required when needed, this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead the Planning, MI, systems and CI functions, ensuring clear, aligned plans that support the site labour strategy, operational priorities and CI roadmap.
- Lead, coordinate and drive project management onsite, ensuring traction to progress and minimisation of risk
- Develop and hold your teams accountable for performance, taking ownership of talent development and employee engagement
- Drive continuous improvement across the site, delivering measurable benefits in productivity, service and cost through effective project delivery and colleague engagement.
- Use data and insight to challenge performance, identify risks and opportunities, supporting operational decision-making.
- Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication of priorities, progress, risks and benefits.
- Lead exploration into future tech-based solutions and initiatives to support the CI pipeline and succession
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven understanding of warehouse operations with the ability to interpret operational, labour and performance data to drive business decisions.
- Strong customer focus and commercial awareness, with a track record of delivering against operational and financial KPIs.
- Experience of planning principles within a fast-paced food logistics environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, deliver change and drive continuous improvement initiatives that generate measurable business benefits.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills across operational, customer and senior leadership groups.
- Experience of JDA and Workforce Labour Management (WLM) systems is desirable.
