Are you an experienced leader ready to take ownership of our warehouse operation, from inbound, outbound, returns, D2C and inventory? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you’ll work closely with our Operations Manager and key stakeholders to drive performance shift by shift? Here at GXO, it’s an exciting time to join us as Warehouse Shift Manager on our contract, based in our Hams Hall depot.
As Shift Manager, you will lead warehouse operations, along with managing and developing Team Leaders and colleagues, to support in optimisation, championing Health & Safety and maintaining strong colleague and customer relationships. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity on a rotational 37.5-hour shift pattern. Any 5 days out of 7 (06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00).
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £39,343.20 per annum (plus shift premium of £1,709.50) and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead warehouse operations on a shift‑by‑shift basis, overseeing Inbound, Outbound, Returns, D2C, and Inventory activities.
- Deliver operational KPIs across cost, quality, and service through effective resource and performance management.
- Manage, develop, and engage Team Leaders and colleagues, promoting a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing culture.
- Champion Health & Safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards, working closely with support functions and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication, reporting, and people management, contributing to continuous improvement and taking site responsibility when required.
