HR Associate - Permanent Full Time/Part Time in Birmingham

We’re offering a part-time opportunity that fits beautifully around school hours, school runs, or other daytime commitments. We are looking for someone to be based at our site in Merlin Park, who can drive a culture of positive engagement whilst confidently juggling multiple priorities — from advising stakeholders on HR issues and managing Trade Union relationships, to leading communication strategies, supporting recruitment and induction, and ensuring retention and redeployment activities meet statutory and company requirements. This is a permanent, part-time role working 25 hours per week. You'll work between Monday and Friday, and we're happy to offer some flexibility around working hours, which can be discussed at interview. Please note, this a fully site-based role and you will be expected to travel to attend the other site based in Minworth, on a weekly basis. We’re looking to pay £21,000.00 per annum with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata). Support, coach and advise key stakeholders on all HR issues, including discipline, grievance, absence management and performance improvement Deal with Trade Union representatives on all employee related matters on a daily basis and with full-time union officials as appropriate Contribute to the provision of systematic and effective recruitment, selection and induction processes, involving the recruitment team where appropriate Support a reduction in the potential for costly litigation by conducting regular and effective site HR reviews CIPD Level 3 qualified, or working towards Experience of undertaking a broad range of tasks including working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues and being involved in setting up processes and systems GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
