Here at GXO Logistics, we're looking for two MHE Trainers to join our new retail distribution operation in Northampton. This is a purpose-designed, high-volume site servicing over 250+ stores, where safety, accuracy and performance are critical - and where your training expertise will help shape how the operation runs from the very start. Working closely with the Operations and L&D teams, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality MHE training, ensuring colleagues are competent, confident and compliant in a busy, MHE-heavy environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a rotating any 5 from 7 shift pattern (Sunday-Thursday & Monday-Friday). Your hours of work will also rotate weekly between 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00.

You'll be paid a salary of £30,060.50 per annum, which includes a £2000 responsibility allowance. You'll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
- Deliver MHE training (LLOP, PPT and other equipment) to new and existing colleagues
- Instruct, test and reassess operators to ensure safe and compliant use of equipment
- Support inductions, refresher training and on-the-job coaching across site
- Maintain accurate training records, certificates and documentation in line with compliance requirements
- Work closely with operational teams to monitor standards, identify gaps and support continuous improvement
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience as an MHE Trainer in a Warehouse or Logistics environment
- A current MHE trainer qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR or AITT) and actively training on a recent and regular basis
- Confident delivering MHE training (LLOP, PPT) and Manual Handling training
- Confidence delivering classroom and hands-on training in a fast-paced operation
- Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to engage learners at all levels
- High attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach to record keeping
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with a genuine focus on safety and standards
