Here at GXO, we're looking for a Facilities Coordinator to be at the heart of our warehousing and transportation services, ensuring our facilities run efficiently and safely.
At Hinkley Point C, we're building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of power stations delivering zero-carbon electricity to six million homes. As a Tier One partner to Nuclear New Build (NNB), we provide essential warehousing and transportation services.
This is a full-time permanent position. You'll be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:00 till 16:00 with occasional Saturday work when required. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!
Pay, benefits and more: We're looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). A company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and death in service.
What you'll do on a typical day:
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance across multiple sites
- Support procurement by sourcing quotes, raising purchase orders, and building business cases
- Escort and coordinate contractors to complete maintenance works to the highest standard
- Manage maintenance logs and ensure compliance with site protocols
- Oversee Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including cataloguing assets and scheduling services
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in facilities management and basic repair work using hand tools.
- Strong communication skills to engage with internal teams and external contractors.
- Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities through continuous improvement.
- High attention to detail and compliance with safety standards.
- IOSH certification or working towards IOSH (Essential)
- Basic MS Office skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset (driving licence required).
