Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join us at our cold store site in Lowestoft. As a Warehouse Team Leader you’ll provide leadership and guidance for your warehouse team, ensuring that the team have all the tools they need to do their role and that the operation runs smoothly. The site is a 24/7 operation. This is a freezer environment, so will be a bit chilly!

This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on, 2 off shift pattern, rotating over 2 days of 06:00 to 18:00 and 2 nights of 18:00 to 06:00. However, there is a peak period for pea processing season of July to end of August, where these hours will be worked in full, however out of peak season when rostered on day shift, Saturday night and Sundays are paid for but not worked, bit of a bonus!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,124.52 per annum, inclusive of shift premium. This is a weekly paid (approx. £579.31 pw), annualised hours contract and 25 days annual leave (plus Easter and Christmas bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead your team in a fast-paced operation in a freezer environment

Support with all 1-2-1’s and appraisals

Support the shift manager with engaging with the team and reacting to the varying workloads

Lead the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, as you’ll be responsible for keeping all our operational processes fully compliant whilst keeping your people safe
