Are you a Warehouse Operational Leader looking to take the next steps in your career? Or perhaps you’re an experienced Warehouse Manager who feels as though their capabilities aren’t being recognised? Then look no further!, Here at GXO an exciting new opportunity has become available for an Warehouse Manager to join our site in Barnsley. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the site manager in ensuring colleagues meet or exceed operational requirements for our customer. This will involve organising colleagues and supervising workload to meet Key Performance Indicators, within the agreed timeframe. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days will be the same. The ideal candidate will thrive in a challenging environment and be able to multitask and prioritise tasks with a tight turnaround time.

  • Previous managerial experience within ideally an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Analytical and a logical approach to problem solving

  • Experience of leading change and continuous improvement ideologies

  • Proactive in Health and Safety management

  • WMS experience ideally using SAP

You’ll be working Monday-Friday, 40 hours week on a full-time, permanent basis. However, there will be a level of flexibility required to suit the business with regards to working hours.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000.00. In addition, we offer 25 annual leave (plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Responsible for warehouse management team and overall warehouse function

  • Management of legal and operational compliance for the department

  • Workforce planning and effective resourcing to cope with picking volumes

  • Carry out incident / accident investigations and complete relevant administration in line with Company procedures.

  • Leading a positive Health and Safety culture within the warehouse

  • Employee Relations, including experience dealing with Disciplinary, Absence and Grievance matters
