Overview

GXO is seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport Team Leader, to work at our busy B&Q site in Doncaster. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and running of the transport operation. This is a full-time, permanent position with an ‘any 5 from 7’ shift pattern.

Hours of work: 14:00 – 22:00. Weeks one and two are Monday to Friday and week three is Sunday to Thursday, rotating every three weeks.

Pay, benefits and more: You will be paid a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), with the option to buy additional days for better work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day

  • Lead and work as a team to deliver operational performance and maintain site systems and processes
  • Ensure efficient planning and running of the operation, including people management and the management of a team of core drivers, agency and support staff
  • Support the Transport Shift Manager to ensure KPIs are delivered in line with targets
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure optimum performance and efficiency, building positive working relationships with direct reports, peers and 3PLs
