Join to apply for the Transport Shift Manager role at GXO Logistics, Inc. in Brinklow, Milton Keynes, supporting our customer, Waitrose. As a Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the overall shift to deliver first class and professional delivery service for the contract while ensuring all Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards are maintained to a high standard.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working on any 5 days from a 7 rotating shift pattern of 06:00 till 14:00 and 14:00 till 22:00.

Salary up to £39,000.00 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). Your role
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensure full compliance in accordance with food handling procedures (HACCP) and NSF guidelines
- Daily management of drivers, agency staff and sub-contractors on shift including managing people performance for sickness, absence, time keeping, and disciplinary/grievance investigations
- Plan resources to ensure activities on shift are achieved, the rotas for the next set period are fully prepared including agency bookings
- Ensure full O Licence compliance in relation to fleet management
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Previous transport managerial experience in a complex, unionised environment, fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong background in Food Service Logistics
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) would be an advantage
- IOSH would be an advantage
