We’re expanding our night‑shift operation following a major contract win, creating fantastic opportunities for experienced Shunters who are looking for stable, consistent work without weekend commitments. We’re proud to support our brand‑new partnership with Beko, operating from our Raunds site and playing a key role in the smooth flow of one of the UK’s most trusted household appliance brands.

As a Night Shift Shunter, you’ll be employed on a full‑time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, with shifts running 22:00 to 06:00. You’ll have 40 hours per week guaranteed, giving you both security and a great work‑life balance.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Move trailers safely around the yard using a tug unit, ensuring they are positioned correctly for loading and unloading
  • Work closely with Transport Managers, Yard Marshals, and Warehouse Supervisors to coordinate trailer movements and keep the workflow on track
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all site Health & Safety procedures and reporting any hazards immediately
  • Assist with general yard organisation, keeping the area tidy and ensuring trailers are logged, positioned, and tracked correctly

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • A valid Class 1 driving licence, CPC, and Digi Tacho card
  • A clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points (excluding DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements)
  • Previous shunting experience – desirable but not essential for the right candidate
  • A strong awareness of site Health & Safety standards and the safe movement of vehicles in a busy yard environment
  • The flexibility and resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions
