Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a QHSE Supervisor to join our team at our AkzoNobel site in Goole. The purpose of the role is to champion and promote occupational health, safety and environmental awareness. Monitor and ensure that safety related functions, including risk assessments and training, are being satisfactorily completed.
This role is being offered on a full time, temporary 8-month FTC, predominately working Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30 however, when required, flexibility needed to support the site opening times.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the business in ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently and in line with legislation and best practice
- To co-ordinate and participate in accident & incident investigations and conduct Incident Reviews where applicable
- Complete the quality, health, safety and environment reports and inspection as identified in the EHS Management Systems
- Supervision of all aspects of the infrastructure of the Distribution Hub, the building, and its general facilities
- Ensure the quality of the work carried under the different maintenance contracts that apply to the facilities, in accordance with the general criteria of client, the budget available, SLA etc
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- NEBOSH qualified (minimum) and ideally an environmental qualification
- Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Member of a recognised Health & Safety Institute
- Previous experience in an operationally focused, Health and Safety role with a strong LEAN background
