Here at GXO, we’re looking for a detail-driven Data Administrator within Payroll to join our HR and Payroll team at our ASOS site, in Barnsley. This role is a perfect blend of payroll processing and data management, supporting the smooth delivery of payroll while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:30 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,500 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Producing reports and dashboards using Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Models)
- Supporting weekly and monthly payroll cycles, including overtime, absence, and holiday records
- Support statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP), HMRC forms, and compliance reporting
- Implement and maintain payroll trackers, spreadsheets, and databases for accurate monitoring of pay, attendance, and absence data
- Maintaining accurate payroll data across HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
- Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
- Auditing and cleansing data to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong administrative experience, ideally in payroll or data-heavy roles
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, analytical mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication
- Knowledge of UK Payroll legislation and experience with HRIS or T&A Systems are a bonus!
