Here at GXO Glasgow we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team, supporting our customer B&Q. You’ll be part of a team that works together to keep projects moving, ensuring every delivery helps create homes people love.
You will be working on an ‘any 5 days from 7’ pattern, on a rotating shift: 2 weeks on AM shift with start times of 02:00 to 06:00, 1 week on PM shift with start times of 12:00 to 17:00. You will be required to cover both patterns therefore flexibility is required for this role.

- An annual salary of £45,849.79
- An additional £3.58 per hour early shift premium, for hours worked between 04:00 and 06:00

What you will do on a typical day:
- Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, while collecting waste from stores in line with operational requirements
- Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
- Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
- Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
