Here at GXO Logistics Coventry we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You will be part of a supportive team that goes the extra mile, helping you stay confident on the road and grow in your driving career.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 out of 7’ pattern, with a start time window of 02:00 to 04:00, contracted to 48 hours per week. The role follows an 8-week rolling rota: four weeks Monday-Friday, three weeks Tuesday-Saturday, and one week Tuesday-Friday.

- An hourly rate of £18.20, equivalent to an annual salary of £45,444.78
- An additional £51.99 for Saturday and Sunday
- £475.77 annual responsibility allowance
- 31 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)

What you will do on a typical day:
- Deliver palletised goods using single & double deck or curtain lorries to retail stores on a multi-drop basis, averaging 6 drops per shift
- Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
- Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receives the correct products and delivery documentation
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
- Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is essential
