Overview

Are you a finance professional looking for that next step? Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our team at our shared-user site in Merlin Park, Birmingham. You will be responsible for delivering business-focussed ‘best practice’ reporting and insights into operational performance while successfully delivering the provision of all financial information including weekly costings, monthly accounts, forecasts, KPI’s and balance sheet reconciliations.

What you\’ll do

  • Preparation of weekly and monthly operational performance reporting for both GXO and the customer
  • Working with the on-site and central HR team to resolve queries, effective communication of issues and management of over or under payments
  • Assist the Finance Manager in improving and developing reporting processes and procedures
  • Provide variance analysis with adequate commentary and aid operational management in the interpretation of results

What you need to succeed

  • CIMA, ACCA or currently studying towards completion is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and having experience of SAP would be advantageous
  • Experience with open book contracts is desirable
  • Proven track record in successfully establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with both internal and external customers

Details

This is a full-time, permanent position, predominantly working Monday – Friday, 08:30-17:00, with a hybrid arrangement of 4 days based on-site and 1 day working from home.
