Here at GXO, we’re seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to join our ASOS contract based at our Barnsley site. As an Assistant Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager with the smooth running of all financial, commercial, and administrative functions across site operations and projects. You’ll lead a small team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing valuable insights to both internal stakeholders and the client.
This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:30 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and manage a team to deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing information for customer meetings and JMRs
- Own and reconcile payroll, agency, and operational trackers
- Provide proactive financial insights to support decision-making
- Support budgeting and forecasting for GXO and customer projects
- Drive continuous improvement across the financial process
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong demonstratable experience in a similar finance role
- Experience with open book accounting and account preparation
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Part-qualified CIMA
- Experience in managing a team
- Excellent communication and time management skills
