Can you turn complex supply chain challenges into smarter, more efficient planning solutions that deliver measurable business impact? Here at GXO, we’re looking for a motivated Planning Optimisation Manager to join our BAE Systems site based in Blackburn.
You will be responsible for informing, influencing and guiding planning decisions across three critical areas:
- Demand Alignment
- Supply Alignment
- Forward Planning
This is an 18-Month FTC position working Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00, 37.5 hours per week.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £75,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Effective representation of GXO Logistics within BAE's Planning function
- Improved alignment between manufacturing plans and logistics capability
- Improved supplier conformance and inbound material flow
- Enhanced planning visibility and forecasting accuracy
- Delivery of planning optimisation initiatives and measurable business benefits
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing or other complex operational environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
- We welcome candidates who can bring fresh thinking and transferable planning, supply chain or logistics expertise from other sectors.
- Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement qualifications.
