At GXO, we're looking for a Lead Project Manager to join our high-performing Central Project Management team, focusing on New Business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics project manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitious growth strategy.
Working closely with our Business Development teams, you'll help shape winning customer proposals by developing implementation strategies, delivery plans, critical path analyses, risk assessments and cost models for new business and transformational change opportunities. As a trusted expert, you’ll use your operational and project delivery experience to demonstrate how GXO can successfully deliver complex customer solutions across multiple industry sectors.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working flexibly with travel across the UK as required to support customer opportunities and stakeholder engagement.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £80,000 per annum, a performance related bonus of up to 15% and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Partner with Business Development and cross-functional teams to develop winning RFI, RFP and ITT proposals for new business opportunities.
- Create project delivery strategies, implementation plans, timelines and critical path analyses that demonstrate GXO's capability to successfully deliver customer solutions.
- Define project resources, governance, dependencies, risks, mitigations and implementation costs to support robust commercial proposals and business cases.
- Present and influence stakeholders by confidently articulating proposed solutions, delivery approaches and key project assumptions.
- Support project delivery excellence through effective handovers, while mentoring and coaching Project Managers across the wider team.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A proven track record of delivering large and complex projects and/or programmes within the logistics industry, backed by solid operational experience.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure – well-rounded experience of WMS, TMS, ERP and automation systems would be a big advantage.
- Experience delivering large-scale transformational projects across a variety of industry environments.
- An analytical, methodical and solution-focused approach towards your projects as well, as the ability to communicate and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
