Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Regional Class 2 Drivers to join our Store to Home team (applications from HIAB-qualified drivers are encouraged).
In this role you will support deliveries from our Stockton, Washington and North Shields stores therefore flexibility is essential. You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday/ Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with start time between 07:00 and 11:00, contracted to 40hrs per week.

- As a Driver, you'll receive a competitive pay and benefits package, depending on the licence held:
- Class 2 Driver: An hourly rate of £15.32, that is an annual salary of £31,865.60. Overtime pay of £22.98 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs).
- Class 2 Driver (HIAB Qualified): An hourly rate of £16.26, that is an annual salary of £33,820.80. Overtime pay of £24.39 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs).

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Providing multi-drop home deliveries directly to the customer’s chosen room, averaging 16 deliveries per day in quieter months and up to 24 during peak season.
- Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
- Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receives the correct products and delivery documentation.
- Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate in a polite and courteous manner.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements).
- A valid HIAB licence with brick grab ticket (ALLMI or equivalent), where held.
- Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check).
- Be prepared to commute between Stockton, Washington and North Shields stores.
