In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to customers, ensuring all vehicle checks are completed and transport regulations are followed. You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, averaging 48 hours per week, with shifts of approximately 9.6 hours per day. Start times can be from 4:00am, depending on operational requirements. While the role is typically worked Monday to Friday, your contract will be based on any 5 days out of 7, providing flexibility to meet business needs.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out deliveries to various GXO depots
- Routes can vary depending on start time
- Maybe involved in loading and unloading the vehicle/trailer
- Manual Handling
- Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays, issues, or changes during journeys and that all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and on time
- Guarantee the safe and legal operation of HGV vehicles at all times, complete safety checks before leaving site and on return to site
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Must hold a full EU licence with category C+E entitlement
- A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
- Must hold Digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 current penalty points on licence
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD.AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
- Strong communication skills, particularly verbal, to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
