Here at GXO, we're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our busy HR team in Crick and support the delivery of an accurate, efficient and compliant payroll service. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring colleagues are paid correctly and on time, maintaining payroll records, managing employee queries and supporting a range of payroll and HR administration activities. Working closely with HR, Finance and Operational teams, you'll help drive high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and customer service while contributing to continuous improvement across the function.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday with a choice of 07:00 – 15:00 or 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Support weekly and monthly payroll processes, ensuring all information is processed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records, attendance, absence and holiday information across payroll systems.
  • Process employee changes including starters, leavers, contractual amendments and absences.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries and help resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Produce payroll reports and support compliance, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong administration and payroll experience with excellent attention to detail.
  • Great communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
