Here at GXO Dagenham, we are currently recruiting for HGV Category C+E (Class 1) powder tanker drivers to join our transport team supporting our customer, Breedon Cement. If you are looking for a new challenge and the chance to develop your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Don't worry if you haven't operated a powder tanker before, we will provide all the training and support you'll need to get out on the road and making deliveries.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, minimum of 48 hours per week guaranteed pay, with start times generally between 04:00 to 06:00 with paid breaks!
- £49,192 per annum (based on 50 hours per week)
- £18.92 per hour
- Paid every four weeks - lunar pay
- Paid holiday entitlement - 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
- A week off at Christmas (3 days from your holiday allocation)

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Single drop deliveries (typically between 2 and 3 per shift) from our Dagenham depot to manufacturing and construction industry customers
- Load and discharge powder products (predominantly cement) under pressure from tanker to silo
- Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues and provide exceptional service to our customers
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
- Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
- No more than 6 current penalty points
