If you're a hands‑on people manager who leads from the front, we'd love to hear from you.

Here at GXO Logistics, we're looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our B&Q operation in Branston. You'll play a key role in leading your team to deliver operational excellence, ensuring customer service levels, productivity and safety standards are consistently achieved while supporting the continued growth and development of your colleagues.

This is a full‑time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, on a fixed Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:30 shift pattern.

Pay, benefits and more

You’ll be paid a salary of £34,361 per annum. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team to achieve operational targets, customer service requirements and site KPIs
  • Drive a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety standards, processes and procedures
  • Manage performance, attendance, conduct and development plans while maintaining high levels of engagement across the team
  • Deliver operational excellence through effective resource planning, performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships across site functions and support the Shift Operations Manager in delivering site objectives

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Previous leadership experience within a fast‑paced warehouse or logistics environment
  • Strong people management skills, with experience coaching, developing and engaging teams
  • Good understanding of warehouse KPIs, operational performance and Health & Safety best practice
  • Experience working with warehouse systems and Microsoft Office packages, including Excel
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and lead by example
