Are you a Continuous Improvement professional ready for that next challenge? Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team, supporting our customer, Sainsbury’s. Being based out of one of our operations (Northampton, Bristol, Dartford, Sherburn in Elmet or East Kilbride) and regular travel to the other locations, you will lead initiatives that will enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels across our warehouse operations, while analysing and evaluating network wide activity to recommend and implement changes where necessary.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company car or car allowance of £450.00 per calendar month, a company sponsored pension scheme, private medical & dental insurance, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and coordinate a wide variety of identified and approved initiatives and projects designed to improve processes and performance in all areas of the business and site but with a major focus on operations.
- Develop a collaborative relationship with senior leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and development plans.
- To develop activities and efficient layouts for processes and equipment, and to actively identify improvements within the DC operations through effective end to end analysis.
- Support in the development of a Continuous Improvement Culture where staff are able to identify and deliver their own improvements.
- Create a team of "CI Leads" who will support the business in creating this CI culture.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Significant expertise in WMS along with advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, Lean, Value stream mapping and use of associated tools.
- Prior experience with Tableau or other data visualisation tools will be advantageous.
