Ready to take ownership of inventory operations? Thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment where no two days are the same? Can you lead a team, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement? We are looking for an Inventory First Line Manager to join our The Entertainer site in Banbury. You will oversee all inventory and stock control activities on our PM shift. Reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will lead a team of Stock Control Operatives, ensuring operational excellence, inventory accuracy, KPI achievement, and safe working practices. You'll also act as the first point of contact for on-site IT issues during the PM shift, helping to keep operations running smoothly.

This is a full-time, permanent role working any 5 from 7, 14:30 to 22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day inventory operations, ensuring stock accuracy, KPI achievement, and continuous improvement across the department.
  • Allocate workload effectively, manage resources, monitor performance, and ensure cost, quality, and service targets are consistently met.
  • Analyse inventory data, investigate stock discrepancies, manage returns processes, and oversee stock checks and reporting activities.
  • Promote a positive team culture through coaching, development, skills training, and effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Act as the first point of contact for on-site IT issues, liaising with central IT support teams and assisting with system upgrades and rollouts.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics, inventory, or stock control environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and maintain a focused, flexible, and detail-oriented approach.
