  • RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ESSENTIAL: Possess or are likely to earn a class grade of 2:2 or higher.
  • SPECIALIST SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ESSENTIAL: A valid current driving licence.
  • LANGUAGE NEEDS: Listening and Speaking – Higher Level; Reading and Understanding – Higher Level; Writing – Higher Level.

Job Description Purpose of the Post: Receive workplace experiences and support to complete a higher qualification and develop into a leader and expert in the field. To support the Department in communicating, marketing and creating effective digital content that promotes its services, projects and key locations across Gwynedd.

Main Duties: The Gwynedd Economy Department works to strengthen the county's economy by supporting businesses, developing communities, promoting sustainable tourism and creating quality employment opportunities for residents. The role focuses on the creation and delivery of digital content and communication campaigns to promote the diverse work of the Department for Economy, including the production of videos, articles and material for the Council's social media and websites. The main duties of the role will be to:

  • Support the Department's various services including Economic Development, Business Support, Community Regeneration, Tourism and Marketing, Maritime, Country Parks, Museums, Arts, Archives and Libraries.
  • Work across many key locations and assets such as Parc Padarn, Parc Glynllifon, Gwynedd Libraries, STORIEL, Lloyd George Museum, Pwllheli harbour and the county's beaches.
  • Support the communication, engagement and marketing requirements of the services in a diverse and dynamic work environment.
  • Develop project management skills, prioritise workloads and lead others to achieve objectives.
  • Create and deliver strategic communications, marketing and plans for developments and projects.
  • Develop and use up-to-date digital marketing techniques in response to new trends and technologies.
  • Manage and use creative resources including digital content production tools such as photos and videos.
  • Follow the Council's policies on health and safety, equality, data protection and carbon reduction.
