We are a well-established and reputable specialist in commercial vehicle maintenance and repairs, trading for over 15 years. We have fully equipped maintenance workshops, including the use of R2C Workshop Management and computerised diagnostics. We are looking for an HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our team of 8 technicians. Our contracts vary from large organisations, such as Traffic Management companies, to individual hauliers. We are responsible for over 175 vehicles and trailers.

The Role of a HGV Technician:
- Carry out routine inspections, using R2C workshop management.
- Maintenance, servicing and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard.
- Carry out a wide range of defect repairs from replacing a bulb to replacing brake discs and pads or even complete engine rebuilds.
- Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers' computer systems and tooling.
- Experience of identifying and rectifying electrical issues.
- Complete job cards and maintenance sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
- Able to multi-skill and have a flexible approach to working hours.
Qualities of a HGV Technician:
- Full UK driving license is desirable, ideally also with a HGV Class 1 or HGV Class 2 (not essential).
- Team player.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable.
Experience Required:
- Industry recognised: 2 years or a proven track record of commercial vehicle repair.
Hours:
- Full time – Choice of:
- Mon - Fri 08:30 - 17:00, or with some Saturday mornings.
- Week 1 = 4 days (10.5 hour days) on - Monday to Thursday, 4 days off – Friday to Monday.
- Week 2 = 4 days (10.5 hour days) on – Tuesday to Friday, 2 days off – Saturday to Sunday (with some Saturday mornings on the 2nd week's pattern).
- Flexible working options could be offered.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. Will consider part-time.
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour, will depend on experience - to go onto max pay you would need excess of 3 years+ with extensive diagnostics and electrical experience.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week.
Work Location: In person.
Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
