Conveyancing Paralegal – Cambridge

A Solicitors firm based in central Cambridge is looking to recruit a paralegal to their residential property team.

This firm enjoys a fantastic reputation for this type of work in the Cambridge area as well as further afield in areas such as London. They are therefore able to attract a steady stream of interesting work, often involving high value properties, into the department.

This is a team that is thriving and busy but is not a high volume type of environment. Therefore the role would likely suit those looking for more of a traditional Solicitors firm setup.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside Residential Property Lawyers in the team in making sure transactions are efficiently progressed and a top level service is provided at all times to all their clients. Duties may include:-

– Opening of files and preparation of all initial documentation and correspondence.
– Conducting searches.
– Keeping clients, agents and other Solicitors up to date via telephone, letters or email.
– File management including filing of documents and saving of relevant documentation or information on computer systems.
– SDLT returns.
– Registrations with the land registry.
– Other Post Completion duties.
– General admin duties as required in the team.

Supervision, training and support can be given in areas that are unfamiliar but it is envisaged that the successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of conveyancing and experience of working in a residential property department.

The firm will pay a salary that is based on experience but that will be at the top end for the Cambridgeshire area. In addition to this they offer a comprehensive benefits package to all their people. Other benefits include
