Conveyancing Assistant - Abingdon - Oxfordshire An opportunity has come up for an experienced assistant/paralegal to join the conveyancing team at a Solicitors Practice in the Wallingford area of Oxfordshire. This conveyancing assistant role will entail providing support to fee earners in the team, with a particular focus with the back end of the conveyancing process, from exchange to post completion. Duties may include things such as:- - Taking a key role in handling files from exchange to completion - Keeping clients and other interested parties updated on status of the transaction - Drafting completion statements - Ordering searches - Requesting redemption figures - General admin such as filing, photocopying, cheque requests and dealing with incoming and outgoing post. - Carrying out registrations at the land registry - Dealing with SDLT subissions - General admin tasks required within the team to contribute to the efficiency of the department. The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate upwards of 3 years experience of working in a support capacity, such as a legal secretary or a legal assistant, within a conveyancing team. In addition to a good knowledge of the conveyancing process, you will be a confident and personable communicator with a friendly personality in order to fit into the existing team and to provide a consistently high level of service to the firms clients.
