Your opportunity

You are looking for someone deep into AI to join our EMEA Equity Trading team.

This is a technical role, not a trading role.

You will learn the domain from experienced traders, but you need genuine AI and data capability from day one.

You will be responsible for

  • Own the AI and automation agenda for the team, identifying where AI tooling can replace manual processes, designing solutions and building them.
  • Work directly with Traders and Portfolio Managers to understand data consumption, pain points, and workflow changes.
  • Analyse trading datasets using Python and AI tooling to surface trends, inefficiencies and opportunities across execution analytics, transaction cost analysis, algo wheel configuration, market microstructure, and European regulatory requirements.
  • Modernize the desk's day‑to‑day outputs, making them automated, visually sharp and readable.
  • Help the wider team build confidence with AI tooling by running demos and sharing practical examples.

  • Must have skills
  • A degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Python and AI‑assisted development, comfortable building, debugging, and iterating with AI coding tools.
  • AI proficiency: prompt engineering, LLM‑assisted analysis, agentic workflows, and tool orchestration.
  • Numerically sharp, comfortable handling large complex datasets and spotting anomalous outputs.
  • Delivery mindset: builds things that work and last, whether moved to tech team for production or maintained on the desk.
  • Stakeholder communication: explains technical trade‑offs clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • 2‑3+ years in a technical, data or analytics environment; financial services exposure is a plus.
  • Nice to have skills
  • Personal interest in AI beyond the workplace, shown through side projects or experimentation.
  • Financial knowledge: equity markets, trading, execution analytics, algorithmic trading or market microstructure.
  • SQL and data platforms, ideally Snowflake or similar warehouses.
  • Data visualisation and design experience (Streamlit, Power BI, etc.).
  • Platform‑level automation experience with low‑code/no‑code platforms, LLM observability tools, or managed model APIs.
  • Modern development practices (Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, Git).
  • Agent orchestration frameworks (Lang Chain, Semantic Kernel, Auto Gen) experience.
