At GWI we’re always looking for extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact. If that’s you, and making a difference gets you out of bed in the morning, keep reading. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As our Director of Insight Services:
- You will be responsible for the insight function at GWI, leading four verticalised teams who are focused on uncovering data-driven narratives that shape how brands understand and engage their audiences.
- This team works across large-scale reporting projects, transforming GWI’s rich datasets into compelling insights, reports, and presentations that surface the unexpected and sharpen client strategy.
- You’ll also partner closely with Revenue teams, contributing to RFPs, client relationships and proposals to support a strong pipeline of new opportunities.
A few things you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the global insight function - ensuring teams are crafting insights and analysis that are high-quality, accurate and inspire our clients.
- Overseeing four verticalised teams, and directly line managing the lead of each vertical (Associate Director / Senior Insight Manager).
- Driving forward the insight team strategy, including meeting efficiency objectives and promoting a consultancy approach with clients.
- Leading on RFPs and proposals to showcase GWI’s insight capabilities and ensure we hit our targets.
- Working closely with Revenue teams across accounts, joining pitch calls, consulting with clients and recommending flexible approaches to pricing/packaging to ensure success.
- Running presentations, meetings and workshops confidently.
- Taking on external speaking opportunities, representing GWI and showcasing our insight capabilities.
- Managing direct reports and ensuring they’re developing, learning and meeting their growth goals.
It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for GWI is all about. You’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment.
What do I need to bring with me?
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. Here’s what the team will be looking for in you:
- Proven experience managing projects and client relationships, and working closely with client-facing teams.
- A talent for data storytelling - translating numbers into narratives, and surfacing insights that challenge assumptions or reveal something new.
- Experience developing, shaping, and delivering on strategic objectives — from setting the direction to executing it.
- Experience managing budgets and cost bases, with a commercial eye for margin and resourcing efficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a flair for writing clear, engaging content.
- Comfortable running presentations and meetings.
- Willingness to represent GWI and its research in front of clients.
- Experience at team and line management.
- Excellent organization, time management, and collaboration skills.
- An ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements, requests, and commercial team needs.
Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.
Why Join Us
- Be part of a close-knit global team which encourages innovation, thinking big and close collaboration.
- Work with the biggest brands across the world.
- Contribute to diverse projects that span multiple sectors and audiences.
- Enjoy a fast-growth environment with opportunities to learn, grow and make a tangible impact.
