We are seeking a strategic leader who oversees the entire data collection and measurement framework for an organisation's digital ecosystem. This position is responsible for defining the long-term tagging strategy, managing the team of specialists, and ensuring data integrity and governance. The manager acts as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating complex business objectives into a clear, actionable data strategy that empowers data-driven decisions across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Define and own the overall digital tagging and tracking strategy, ensuring it aligns with key business objectives and marketing goals.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Digital Tagging and Tracking Specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce standards for data governance, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, marketing directors, and product teams to gather requirements, communicate progress, and provide strategic recommendations based on data insights.
- Architecture & Roadmap: In conjunction with CRXO management - Design and maintain the technical architecture for the tagging system, including the data layer, and develop a long-term roadmap for tracking initiatives.
- Vendor & Tool Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external partners and vendors for analytics and tag management tools.
Skills & Experience:
- Technical Skills:
- Tag Management Systems (TMS): Deep expertise and a proven track record of managing and scaling a TMS - Google Tag Manager including GTM server-side required.
- Analytics Platforms: In-depth knowledge of web and app analytics platforms like Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Quantum Metric (QM), including advanced configurations and reporting.
- Web Technologies: A strong technical foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with the ability to review code and guide developers.
- Data Systems: Experience with data warehousing, APIs, and data modelling (e.g., BigQuery).
- Troubleshooting: Advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex data and implementation issues.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience leading and managing a technical team.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate high-level business goals into a detailed, executable strategy.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical and strategic concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills to oversee multiple large-scale initiatives.
