At Tip Top, we're looking for a Bakery Innovation Specialist to help drive innovation and growth across our bakery portfolio. Reporting to the Bakery Innovation Manager, you will be the bakery subject matter expert within the Foodservice team, supporting the development of innovative bakery solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
This is a highly collaborative role that combines technical bakery expertise with customer engagement and commercial insight. We're seeking a trade-qualified Baker who has experience operating within commercial bakery, food manufacturing, ingredient supply or foodservice environments and can confidently apply their technical knowledge in a business-focused setting.
Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities, develop new concepts, support product innovation and provide expert bakery guidance across a broad range of projects.
Purpose of the Role- Lead and support bakery innovation and new product development projects.
- Develop, trial and refine bakery products and concepts within the Test Kitchen.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across the innovation pipeline.
- Partner with customers to understand their operations, challenges and growth opportunities.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and innovation workshops.
- Provide bakery expertise and technical support to the Sales team.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Operations, Procurement, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Monitor market trends, consumer insights and emerging opportunities within the bakery category.
- Support customer engagement initiatives that drive innovation and commercial outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A trade qualification as a Baker (essential).
- Experience within commercial bakery, food manufacturing, ingredient supply, foodservice or related bakery-focused environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of bakery ingredients, production processes, equipment and manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply bakery expertise to solve customer challenges and identify business opportunities.
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of how technical recommendations influence customer and business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience building strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
