Force Contact & Control Operators are highly trained and skilled, dealing with all emergency calls received through 999 and all non-emergency calls received via 101 and the Switchboard. In addition to recording incidents and giving advice, the operators are also responsible for the dispatch and control of police resources, ensuring the right officers are in the right place at the right time.
We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious applicants with a positive approach and good telephone manner. We encourage potential applicants to apply for the ride along scheme to gain insight into the role.
We are proactively recruiting for Welsh Language speakers to support the organisation in meeting demand from the public and compliance with Welsh Language Standards.
There is a 2 year tenure on this posting (you need to remain in post for 2 years prior to applying for alternative posts).
