We are looking for someone to join us as a Drugs Forensic Scientist in our Joint Scientific Investigation Unit (JSIU). A small specialised, dedicated team based in Bridgend South Wales Police HQ, within the JSIU. Work is Monday to Friday 8-4, with a degree of flexibility required for additional hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis of drugs submissions for identification, weight and purity of commodities seized from offences within our collaborative force areas.
  • Provide forensic reports based on testing to assist the courts.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a chemistry qualification with forensic science skills and experience.
  • Transferable working forensic skills and understanding.
