We are seeking a highly organised, experienced and efficient Legal Secretary specialising in Conveyancing to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to conveyancing solicitors, ensuring smooth and timely processing of property transactions. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The position offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment where attention to detail and confidentiality are paramount.

Duties:

  • Open files and carry out the necessary onboarding of clients
  • Preparing and submitting draft Contract papers
  • Dealing with exchange paperwork and preparing for completion
  • Dealing with completion and carrying out post completion work, i.e. SDLT Return and Land Registry Application
  • Dealing with Clients and Estate Agents where appropriate

Qualifications:

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within a legal environment specialising in conveyancing
  • Strong typing skills with high accuracy and speed
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software or systems quickly
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of conveyancing processes is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
