As a Territory Sales Manager, you will manage and develop the assigned UK sales territory. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth through a distributor-led model, acting as the main point of contact for customers and partners. You will deliver product training, support product launches and ensure excellent service levels, while being fully accountable for the commercial performance of your territory. Working closely with the Sales Director, you will ensure that GVS Values are consistently represented across all distributors, while contributing to the company Vision of establishing GVS as the preferred provider of Personal Safety Equipment for end users. Your objective will be to grow sales volumes, strengthen distributor loyalty, increase market share and support the successful introduction of new product ranges.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives
- Manage and grow relationships with authorized distributors and contractors
- Validate new products with distributors and end users
- Prepare sales forecasts and define performance targets for the territory
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, pricing and discount structures
- Deliver professional sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Support and execute sales and marketing initiatives in the territory
- Represent GVS at trade shows, industry events and professional associations
- Monitor competitor activities and market positioning
- Prepare cost analyses, quotations and follow up with customers
- Manage customer enquiries, requests and complaints at all levels, from Customer Service to Executive Management
- Identify opportunities for new business and geographic expansion
- Propose new product ideas to support sales growth
- Control expenses in line with budgets and company policies
- Produce monthly sales reports covering sales performance, pipeline and new opportunities
- Take full ownership of sales results for the assigned product portfolio
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in PPE and/or blasting, painting, welding equipment sales
- Proven track record in developing new business and growing territories
- Strong customer-facing experience within the PPE industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree (e.g. MBA or equivalent)
- Engineering background, ideally with experience in respiratory protection or air systems
