Overview
Senior Quantity Surveyor needed to join a Bedfordshire-based contractor specializing in fit out and refurbishment. You will manage cost control and commercial delivery on projects across London and the Southeast, with values up to 5m in education, healthcare and commercial sectors. The role combines client and subcontractor liaison with rigorous commercial governance to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will work within a dynamic team and have opportunities for training and development. This is a hands-on role for a capable professional who shapes project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage cost planning, procurement, and contract administration for refurbishment and fit-out projects
- Monitor budgets, valuers, cash flow, and financial reporting to stakeholders
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality
- Prepare and issue valuations, variations, and monthly cost reports
- Ensure compliance with relevant contracts and industry standards
- Support training and development for junior team members
- Work to deadlines and maintain high attention to detail
Key requirements
- Quantity Surveying degree or Construction Management degree
- Minimum 7 years Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience on refurbishment and fit-out projects
- Relevant IT Skills
