GVR Solutions are working with a specialist drylining contractor that operate predominantly within the commercial fit-out sector. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality SFS framing, suspended ceilings and bespoke interior systems, they work with leading fit out contractors on projects across London. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of drylining and fit-out packages from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and project teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
  • Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and accounts
  • Variations management and change control
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Attending project meetings with clients and main contractors
  • Preparing and negotiating final accounts
  • Supporting estimating and tender processes where required
  • Ensuring effective commercial control across multiple projects
The Quantity Surveyor must have/be:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within drylining and/or commercial fit-out
  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts
  • Experience managing packages from £250k – £3m+
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
