Senior Estimator required in Central London. GVR Solutions are currently representing a leading and very well-established Contractor, based in Central London, who have entered the market for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team. The business is looking to recruit someone who is ambitious and wants to progress within the business. Depending on the level of experience of the successful candidate, the view would be to progress into a pre-construction management role overseeing the Estimating team. As a multifaceted contractor, they work within the Data Centre, Aviation and Commercial sectors primarily within London.
Base pay range: £33,000 – £38,000
Responsibilities of the Senior Estimator:
- Oversee all tender and bid activity including pricing, preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy and quality, from initial enquiry and take-offs.
- Provide detailed breakdowns of tenders to directors and clients.
- Analysis of risk and opportunity.
- Obtain best value sub-contract and supplier prices in order to maximise value for money within secured works.
- Procurement of sub-contract works including documentation and compliance.
- Effective communication with clients, suppliers, external consultants and colleagues through to senior management.
The Senior Estimator must have/be:
- Minimum 7 years previous Estimating experience working within either a main contracting or refurbishment subcontractor environment.
- A team player.
- Previous experience as an Estimator.
- Experience working on refurbishment projects within London or the UK.
