GVR Solutions are working alongside a facade and roofing contractor who are specialists in fully supported hard metal roofing, facades, SFS, Rainscreen cladding systems and flat roofing for all types of projects. They are currently looking for a Junior Buyer in which you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services according to company need and demands of our Roofing and cladding requirements. Working in close collaboration with our Project Managers, design team and procurement manager, this key role will ensure the procurement and timely delivery of goods and services required by the business.
The Responsibilities of the Junior Buyer:
- Procurement and scheduling of products, materials, plant, and equipment
- Ensuring purchases offer best value
- Monitoring and reporting of price increases, updating internal spreadsheets
- Tracking orders and proactively addressing any failed or late deliveries
- Arranging the return of non-conforming products
- Maintaining and developing the supply chain
- Processing of purchase ledger records
The Junior Buyer must have/be:
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimise pricing and commercial terms
- Ability to forward plan for multiple site projects and prioritise workload across long-lead and real time demands
- Identify potential supply problems and solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills – strong relationship builder and communicator
- Takes individual ownership and collaborates to deliver team and company objectives
- Ability to undertake take offs would be an advantage (training will be given)
- Ability to implement and manage sound business processes and procedures
