GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor, based in Essex, who are looking for a Site Manager / Construction Manager to join their team. As a contractor, they typically work on fit out and interior projects within the Retail, Commercial, Education, Industrial and Automotive sectors. This opportunity will be best suited to a Manager who is not adverse to a little bit of travel as most sites are in Essex and the southeast.
Daily responsibilities for the successful Site Manager will include:
- Working and reporting to the Project Manager
- Ensuring the successful delivery of works on budget, on time and in a safe manner and fully in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Managing contractors and direct operatives, ensuring planned works are completed on time and within budget
- Working closely with the supply chain to ensure delivery, prepare work programmes, weekly reporting, hold regular meetings with supply chain and client, and providing high quality technical expertise on electrical works
- Managing and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
Requirements for the role of Site Manager:
- 5 – 7 years' experience working as the No.1 Site Manager
- Fast track fit out and refurbishment experience
- Must be client facing
- Highly driven and have a good eye for detail & quality
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- Temporary works
- Trade background is preferential but not essential
