Site Manager required in Essex. GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor, based in London, who are looking for an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to join their team on a large Aviation framework Contract in Essex. As a contractor they typically work on Cut and Carve, Fit out and D&B projects in the Aviation, Commercial, Healthcare and Education sectors with project values up to £10m. This opportunity will be best suited to an experienced Manager who is very client facing as they have occupied floors with tenants in the building.
Daily responsibilities for the successful Site Manager will include:
- Working and reporting to the Project manager
- The role will require you to ensure the successful delivery of works on budget, on time and, in a safe manner and fully in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Managing contractors and direct operatives, ensuring planned works are completed on time and within budget
- You will work closely with the supply chain to ensure delivery, prepare work programmes, weekly reporting, hold regular meetings with supply chain and client, and providing high quality technical expertise on electrical works
- Managing and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Requirements for the role of Site Manager:
- 5 – 7 years’ experience working as the No.1 Site Manager
- Commercial or Aviation refurbishment experience
- Must be client facing
- Highly driven and have a good eye for detail & quality
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid
- Asbestos Awareness
- Temporary works
- Trade background is preferential but not essential
