AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEER Location: Essex / London & South East Salary: £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience Benefits: Company Van | Fuel Card | Phone | Tools | Overtime | Long-Term Opportunity The Opportunity Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team. They specialise in the supply and installation of ductwork and commercial ventilation systems, working across a variety of commercial construction and building-services projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced AC Engineer who can complement their existing ductwork and ventilation capability and undertake air conditioning works across projects throughout London, Essex and the South East. The Role You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, testing and fault finding of commercial air conditioning systems. The role will involve working alongside experienced ductwork and ventilation installation teams, as well as other M&E contractors and site teams. The successful engineer will have experience with VRV/VRF, split and multi-split systems, together with FCUs and associated HVAC equipment. You will also be involved in system modifications, remedial works, commissioning and ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard. The ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications and work effectively alongside project managers, site teams and other contractors is important. What We’re Looking For We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning / HVAC Engineer with strong commercial installation experience and a Category 1 F-Gas qualification. You should have a good understanding of VRV/VRF and split systems, FCUs and wider commercial HVAC equipment, together with solid fault-finding and commissioning skills. Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Toshiba or Panasonic would be advantageous. Experience with AHUs, ventilation systems, ductwork or wider mechanical services would also be highly desirable, particularly given the company’s existing capabilities. You will need to be comfortable working on construction sites and within live commercial environments, have a professional and reliable approach, and hold a full UK driving licence. The Package The successful candidate will receive a salary of £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience, along with a company van, fuel card, company phone and tools. There are also regular overtime opportunities, varied commercial projects and genuine long-term career progression available.
