GVR Solutions are proud to be working with a reputable and expanding drylining contractor that delivers high-quality partitioning, ceilings, and interior fit-out solutions across a wide range of commercial and residential projects. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to progress their career within a dynamic and specialist subcontracting environment.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Manage and oversee assigned projects, ensuring responsible and cost-effective delivery aligned with commercial objectives.
- Provide clear leadership to Site Supervisors, fostering accountability and excellence.
- Support the development of Site Supervisors to take ownership of daily activities and controls.
- Represent the company professionally, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure all works are conducted in accordance with RAMS, PPE standards, and safety procedures.
- Promote behavioural and cultural safety initiatives across all teams.
- Review and monitor project programmes weekly, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct weekly site briefings to align activities with programme goals.
- Support Site Managers and Site Supervisors in maintaining accurate logs of materials, deliveries, and staff diaries.
- Work closely with the procurement team to oversee procurement activities and support supplier negotiations.
- Ensure timely updates to the programme and financial records following signed Instructions.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.
- Oversee snagging processes and ensure areas are signed off by the Contractor.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including risk management and technical sequencing.
- Obtain necessary design approvals from clients and internal departments.
The Project Manager must have/be:
- Robust experience in construction project delivery.
- HND/Degree in Construction or Engineering.
- Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead and support site teams effectively.
- Knowledge of RAMS, programme sequencing and cost control.
- Cooperative, flexible and resilient under pressure.
