Overview
GVR Solutions is representing a well established and growing main contractor based in Luton, actively looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team. They work on refurbishment and fit out projects in the Healthcare and Commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the company\’s HSQE strategy, policies, and management systems.
- Oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all projects.
- Carry out and report on audits, inspections, and site visits.
- Support project managers, site teams, and supply chain with practical HSQE guidance.
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, CDM Regulations, and ISO standards.
- Review and approve RAMS, quality plans, and environmental management plans.
- Lead investigations into incidents, non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
- Act as the key point of contact for HSQE matters with clients, consultants, and enforcing bodies.
Requirements
- Proven track record in a senior HSQE role within the construction industry (minimum 5+ years).
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) essential.
- Chartered or working towards CMIOSH status preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
- Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence (regular site travel required).
